Recently Monkeypox has emerged as a global public health issue with a growing number of cases being reported worldwide.

To help combat this disease, Zymo Research scientific teams collaborated with the Institute of Virology, University Medical Center Freiburg, Germany to collect data that demonstrated that Monkeypox is inactivated by DNA/RNA Shield Inactivating Transport Medium (ITM) for the collection and transport of samples.
